Fox 31 News, reporting on a new study that ranks Denver as the 17th highest rent in the country had some great advice for anyone looking to rent in the area looking to save money.
The report states,
“A September report on local rental rates shows Denver remains on of the most expensive markets in the country.
The report looked at 100 cities across the country.
The median price for a one-bedroom apartment in Denver is $1,500 a month and up to $1,900 a month for a two-bedroom unit.
…
"Be proactive, stay ahead of the market," said Clay Short with Colorado Lease up. "There is also a seasonal trend. Rent will go down in October, November, January.
"So if you can time it out so your lease can expire in those times, you could save 8 percent to 10 percent on your lease term by moving in some of the cooler months." (Fox 31)
This is a great piece of advice for anyone looking to save a little bit of money on rentals. The winter months are always slow months for landlords who are looking to sweeten the deal by dropping their rates in order to get occupants.
This trend is also true for management companies that specialize in furnished rentals, and short-term rental situations. The best time to sign a lease will always be in winter months seeing people typically are moving in warmer times like spring and summer.
If you are looking to rent in the Denver market now is the time to browse the inventory at Corporate Housing Solutions knowing full well that the best properties will be available at the best prices.
